Allow Clients to Review/Comment on Boards and Quotes Without Creating An Account

Forcing clients to create a DesignFiles account puts a bad taste in their mouths and is not compatible with a luxury level of service. Any impediment to quick and easy client approvals carries major operational costs. Other competitor platforms like Houzz do not have this requirement/limitation. Such platforms have a static client portal link that can be shared via email and does not require registering an account to access and make any comments, approvals, etc. DesignFiles’s argument that this requirement is necessary to “track” client feedback and approvals is unconvincing. Other platforms make it work, and it’s SO much smoother of a process! Further, in most instances, we have at most 1-2 clients per project, so it is obvious who is making the comments. Requiring clients to register on your platform certainly doesn’t help us as a design firm, and it definitely doesn’t help our clients or make them happy — in fact, quite the opposite!
