API Connection

We use DesignFiles as a central part of our FoundHomeCo. studio workflow and have created a studio dashboard that brings together project schedules, team responsibilities and execution tasks.

We’d love a supported way to connect it to DesignFiles. Currently, access depends on a browser session, which makes scheduled updates unreliable.

Do you offer—or could you develop—a read-only API with the following capabilities?

• Project information: project name, status, assigned team members and the Overview design due date.

• Project calendars: every event, including dates, times, time zones, multi-day ranges, descriptions and assignments.

• Communications: team discussions and client feedback, including authors, timestamps, replies, mentions and approval decisions.

• Project documents: notes, attachments and links to our Google Drive Project Engines and execution documents.

• Reliable updates: unique record IDs, last-updated timestamps and notifications when information is added, edited or deleted.

• Secure ongoing access: a supported connection that remains authorized between scheduled runs, with read-only permissions and the ability to revoke access.

Our dashboard uses this information to show deadlines, identify responsibilities and flag conflicting instructions for the appropriate team member. Corrections require team confirmation; the integration would preserve the original DesignFiles records. It also crawls design boards for review.

Please let us know whether this is already possible, what access method you recommend, or whether it could become a supported integration.
