Auto date for pricing & stock fields

It would be great if there was a way to put a date next to the stock availability field and the price fields so that it's easy to see if the stock and price were updated recently or 3 years ago. We've gotten in trouble a few times when we've pulled an item into a project that was saved a while back and the pricing is super old. So if it would auto date (with the option to change away from today's date if needed) when those fields were last filled in, that would be AMAZING!
