Control Over Client Notifications

My contractor clients are getting grumpy because they have 7-8 projects going with me at any given time and they are receiving an overwhelming amount of notifications…every time I add an attachment, update a quote, etc they are getting emails. Can we give them (or us) control to change their notification settings? Thank you!
