Crown Molding Hidden with Drop Ceiling

In 3d, when adding a ceiling feature of a tray ceiling, or any drop ceiling, one can no longer see the crown molding. I presume it is hidden under the area that drops below ceiling height. This needs to be corrected. Thanks.
