disable product information when tagging a product

I just logged in after not using Designfiles for a week or two. Sometimes I just like to tag a product for a quick design study. Now suddenly I HAVE to enter the vendor name, link etc. I never had to do that in the past. I could just tag an item and save it to a library. It just adds extra steps when I am just trying to do quick studies. Can this feature be disabled?
