Inches/Feet + Inches Default Error

The settings for choosing inches vs. inches and feet: I am not sure how this is supposed to work, but when changing the settings from feet+inches to Inches only, the app continually reverts to inches + feet. I always set in inches only and it continually reverts. This is within one project. Thanks.
