Limit or control the email notification you or your client receive

I am using the E-design plan. There is a lot of communication back and forth with the client on the products through the comment box. Every time I reply to a comment, the client gets an email notification and if I reply to 10 comments, the client receives 10 different email notifications in a very short period of time. And vice versa!
It would be great if there was a way to control how the client and the designer are notified and how often. Perhaps rather than getting one email notification for every single action/change/comment, having a notify button that is clicked once the changes are made that sends one notification email. Thanks!
