Wouldn’t it be so helpful if we could copy a product to a project from the Products page, and make all the changes we need to reflect the new project? In other words, both the original product and the copy would now be separate so we could make changes to each without changing the other copy in the other project.
This would make sense for a simplified work flow. I can't imagine why we would want all the details of a product to be the same on every project over all time. I find it really time wasting and even soul-sucking to have to go make a new product every time I want to use it. What's the point in having a library if we can't use a product more than once?
Am I missing something? Am I missing the point of a product library?
It would be amazing if we could change the client-facing name. For example, if I use a lamp on one project for a living room, the client-facing name will be Living Room Lamp. Then, if I use the same lamp on another project, it'll be possibly a bedroom lamp, and so called Bedroom Lamp in the client-facing name. Also, the description may change if I want to point out a feature to one client and a different feature to another. Am I missing the logic of products being unchangeable? Thanks for reading.
