More Flexible Processing Fee Options for Quotes and Invoices

I would love to see an option for handling Stripe processing fees differently within quotes and invoices.

I do not like the current system of passing the Stripe fee on to the client as a separate credit card or processing fee. I would greatly prefer the option to include a percentage-based fee within a line item labeled “Shipping and Processing Fees” below the subtotal, similar to what clients are accustomed to seeing when shopping online.

Ideally, this feature would be available on both quotes and invoices and would allow us to:

• Add an optional percentage of the overall subtotal to the Shipping line item, including the option to use the exact percentage charged by Stripe.

• Rename the line item “Shipping and Processing Fees.”

• Alternatively, have Shipping and Processing Fees appear as two separate lines below the subtotal.

• Choose whether shipping is taxable.

• Have the final invoice total calculate beneath these additional charges.

The goal is to give designers a more streamlined and client-friendly way to account for payment processing costs as part of the overall shipping and processing expenses, rather than highlighting the Stripe fee as a separate surcharge.

I think this would make quotes and invoices feel much more consistent with the way clients are already accustomed to seeing shipping and processing costs presented in online transactions.
