paid retainers not automatically syncing to QB

Even though I have invoices set to automatically sync to QB, it seems that retainers are not doing so. The only setting for retainers is how they should be synced (undeposited funds or liability), but not whether they should sync at all… so I would assume that it should inherit the setting I made for invoices (but it is not).
