Prospects VS Projects

Is it possible to separate the prospects from the active projects. Every time I need to do a quote for a prospective client I need to create a project. I would love to have a specific area for the prospects(quote, scope of work proposal) and then be able to convert them into an active project if they sign my quote. By having two different spaces, that will help dissociate the current from the prospects and help to follow up.
