For Accrual accounting, my bookkeeper wants me to send ‘retainers’ instead of invoices to collect furniture payments upfront. And only turn the quote into an invoice at the end of the project (and apply the retainer to that to pay it).
But for customer experience I’d like the retainer to still detail all the items they are paying for. same as an invoice. I’d like the retainer request to have the products listed or the approved quote as a PDF for reference to the total being requested.
