Sales Tax Rate/Location

I would like to see DesignFiles assign a sales tax rate and location to every invoice. DesignFiles does not assign a tax rate or location to tax-exempt invoices, such as labor and installation services, which are tax-exempt in our state. The issue is that QuickBooks automatically assigns a default tax rate and location based on the client’s address, and when it does so, it also makes the invoice TAXABLE, regardless of whether it’s classified that way in DesignFiles. This wreaks havoc with the reporting and filing. Every invoice of this type has to be changed manually in QuickBooks in order to get correct data.
