Invoice Items at a loss - Client price should be allowed to be less than unit price

I paid $42 for a small item for my client's project that I don't want to bill them for. I would like to keep track of the expense by putting a line in an invoice that shows my cost but zero for client price. Design files won't allow me to enter it that way (client price must be higher than unit price it says). I think this is a flaw - surely there are times when for whatever reason you take a loss on one item.

    Allow $0 Client Price

Invoices are not allowed to have a price less than the designers price (unit Price). Please change this to allow us to input any price. Sometimes I want to gift an item to the client and cannot account for it on the invoice and in profit/expense numbers because the system won’t allow $0.

I agree with this. I had to make my cost $1 the other day for a base that was going to be given to me free by a mattress company but I wanted to still charge my client for some of it.

This is essential!!! We can not keep track of our numbers perfectly if we can not document the true numbers. Thanky you.

I agree. sometimes our ccalculated shipping/receiving runs over , we need to be able to account for losses. at the moment mine just show as a “ draft” under invoice status

I agree with this! Was going to write a separate post about this. I think it’s so important
