Payment Installments for Invoices
Allow charging installments on invoices. Currently you can charge a deposit and the remainder, and have to create a retainer to manually apply if you want to break the payments up for your client

Request remaining balance per item, as it arrives.
Due to extended lead times, I now charge my clients the remaining balance as each piece arrives to my warehouse, rather than waiting for the entire project to be completed and installed. This helps with my cash flow. It would be super helpful if DF had an option to request remaining balance for each item.

Invoices-Multiple Payments
I love to create one large Invoice with products, design fee, electric, woodwork, etc on one Invoice so that clients have a true full amount. I would love to see multiple payments (other than a deposit and remaining) in one place so that clients can track easier. I have had several clients ask if I had already invoiced them for something that was not yet because of multiple Invoices.
Thank you for considering!

Custom Amount on Invoice
To me, a really important feature for the invoice would be to have to ability to send an invoice with a specific amount due. For example if the invoice is 35k and they make the first deposit of 80%, then the invoice is updated to reflect add-ons as the project progresses, I would like to be able to send a request for the updated 80%. However as it is now, I can only get the initial deposit and the final amount. I would need to utilize an external program such as quick books to get a custom amount.

Partial Payment
Would be great if clients can go in and make partial payments throughout projects. It is very limited and does not allow for any payments once a deposit is paid unless it is a full pymt

Multiple Deposit on Invoices
Please create invoices which allow multiple deposits. Example: We have created an invoice for the full flat design fee, a retainer deposit was collected, and now only half is due to begin the concept and we can’t add a deposit request for this amount. It will only allow one deposit, which was the retainer. To keep it seamless, it would be great if we can add a few deposits: the retainer, half for concept, half for after the concept but currently we can’t. The only way around this is to have the retainer on a separate invoice which creates extra steps and confusion to the client.

Invoices with deposits needs to be more flexible
Im hoping we can figure out a way to accept additional payments due other than the “black and white” of deposit vs. paid in full. We need more than two options. I put together a big furniture order for a client so they could see the entire amount due as it all goes to one receiving center, so one shipping quote. I had the client pay the deposit but some of the vendors ship at different times. So now I am out of pocket for paying said vendor, delivery company etc… until the rest of the items come in which could even be next year. There has to be a way easily that the client can pay an additional amount due if I request it.

Multiple Payments
It would be much easier to have clients be able to make more than two payments. Sometimes items end up shipping out at very different times and we only require what pieces are in to be paid for and delivered. Then the other items get paid for once they arrive.

I would love multiple payment option. I always have a client do deposit and then 2 payments after that. It would be so helpful.

I completely agree with Ruth. We run into that problem as well with clients. It is difficult sometimes to reroute them to our accounting department so they can manually input a payment for them into Stripe so it can be recorded.
Allowing clients to make multiple payments would be an excellent feature.
